Wellness Lab – stronger women healthier societies: sport, inclusion, sustainability
25 March 2026
Un pomeriggio di riflessione e ispirazione al The Roof, con la campionessa paralimpica protagonista di una conversazione su inclusione, motivazione e salute femminile
The Wellness Lab — a program dedicated to the well-being of employees at La Cooperativa di Cortina and Cortina Banca — made a stop at The Roof Cortina with a special event, open to the wider community for the occasion. Against the stunning backdrop of the Dolomites, and while the world’s attention was on Cortina for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Paralympic Games, the conversation gained even greater significance: “Stronger Women, Healthier Societies – Sport, Inclusion, Sustainability”, a discussion focused on an urgent and still underexplored topic — women’s physical well-being and participation in sports.
The evening’s special guest was Denise Schindler: a four-time Paralympic medalist, three-time world champion in track cycling, and a personal story that turns loss into a driving force. Schindler shared with the audience the core themes of the Foundation’s mission: the role of physical activity in women’s health, resilience as a daily practice, and the need for a fairer, more inclusive sports system.
Tough times come for everyone — but that doesn’t mean you have to give up" - Denise Schindler
A direct, unfiltered message that resonated especially in the context of the Paralympic Games: while athletes competed on the tracks, the room at The Roof became a space for shared listening and reflection. Discussions touched on gender gaps in sports, structural barriers that still limit women’s access to physical activity, and how every obstacle — whether physical or cultural — can become a starting point rather than an endpoint.
The Wellness Lab once again confirmed the Foundation’s mission: creating moments where well-being is more than just movement, but meaning. Where women’s health is seen as a collective issue, not an individual one, and where sport becomes a tool for social change.
A special thanks to Denise Schindler for sharing her energy and her story. The conversation has only just begun — and more events are on the horizon.
