A month of initiatives for health, longevity, and sustainability
9 June 2025
May was a busy month full of initiatives that brought public attention to key issues such as well-being, prevention, and the development of active and aware communities.
In Milan, during the 25th Edition of Futuro Direzione Nord, we took part in the panel “Olympics and Beyond: Business Tourism between Trade Fairs and Major Events,” discussing the cultural shift that the Games can inspire—also thanks to the projects we are implementing in Milan and Cortina—emphasizing movement, health, and well-being.
At the international level, we participated in two major World Economic Forum events: the Industry Strategy Meeting held in London and the Annual Health Roundtable in Geneva, focused on the theme “The Intelligent Age: Redefining Healthcare for the Future.”
In Venice, during the Festival of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, Federica Alberti joined the working group on “Food, Nutrition, Health, and Well-being,” highlighting the importance of healthy lifestyles as a tool for prevention and sustainable territorial development.
In Milan, the tenth edition of PolimiRun Spring brought together 18,000 participants including students, citizens, and companies, confirming itself as an increasingly significant event—not only for the numbers but also for the values it promotes. During the press conference, we celebrated this important initiative that promotes social connection, inclusion, and well-being, in perfect alignment with the mission of Milano Wellness City 2030.
Also in Milan, in the historic venue of the Italian Stock Exchange, the Longevity Economic Forum took place—an opportunity to delve into the role of demographic transformation in shaping the economy and public policy. In this context, Erica Alessandri, Board Member of Technogym and the Wellness Foundation, highlighted the potential of active longevity as a strategic driver for employment, innovation, and community well-being.
To close out the month, RiminiWellness provided a scientific forum on the role of physical activity and exercise in preventing chronic diseases, through a workshop organized by Uni.Rimini and the Department of Quality of Life Sciences at the University of Bologna. At the same time, the RiminiWellness OFF program brought the city to life with widespread events focused on movement and health, also marking the launch of the upcoming Wellness Week, scheduled for September.
Between sport, science, and health, May gives us a clear picture of an ongoing transformation, driven by the commitment of institutions, businesses, and communities to building a more active, healthy, and sustainable society.
