Play Active School: the project to promote well-being in primary schools in the province of Forlì-Cesena is launched

11 February 2026

Play Active School kicked off in February and will run until June 2026. This new initiative, coordinated by the Physical Education and Sports Office of the Forlì-Cesena Territorial School Office, is dedicated to supporting and enhancing physical activity in the first, second, and third grades of primary schools across the province.

The project involves 71 classes and aims to promote the physical and mental well-being of children, highlighting movement as a fundamental educational tool for growth. Play Active School introduces an innovative model of collaboration between schools and movement experts: teachers receive training and guidance from physical activity professionals to design and implement inclusive, stimulating, and age-appropriate activities.

Collaboration with AUSL Romagna and the Network of Health-Promoting Schools further strengthens the initiative’s impact, including the involvement of families through dedicated webinars. These sessions provide insights and best practices on the benefits of physical activity and proper nutrition for a healthy and conscious lifestyle.

The Wellness Foundation has strongly supported Play Active School, contributing to the development of the operational manual for teachers and, with the support of Technogym, providing kits for motor skills activities in schools. This concrete commitment reinforces our mission to promote well-being among young generations and strengthens our long-standing collaboration with the education sector, grounded in the belief that schools are a strategic place to foster a culture of movement and an active lifestyle from early childhood.

The project is also made possible through the collaboration of qualified partners such as AICS Province of Forlì-Cesena and Arca Commerciale, through the Famila Adriatica brand, demonstrating a local alliance focused on the health and future of young people.
