More people, more active, more often! Highlights from Cologne – EHFF & World Active Summit

24 April 2023
The 10th European Health & Fitness Forum (EHFF), the largest gathering of CEOs and executives of the sector, organized by EuropeActive, took place on April 12.

Among the insightful presentations under the theme “Transformational leadership in the fitness & physical sector“, “The socio-economic impact of our industry” by Alfonso Jimenez, THiNK Active, and “Transformational metric to meet changing consumer demands” by Chuck Runyon, CEO, Self Esteem Brands, offered very interesting contents for the Wellness Foundation activities.
On April 13-14 representatives from more than 40 organisations from across the globe involved in promoting physical activity gathered for the first World Active Summit. A two-day event in which the World Active Charter and the Manifesto towards 2030 were officially presented.

World Active’s inaugural general assembly, held on the first day, led to the election of 7 Council members, representing Africa, Asia, Central and Latin America, Europe, North America, and Oceania. As Chair, Barrie Elvish will be assisted by Amy Boone Thompson, World Active’s Vice-Chair, and Sean Tan, the platform’s Treasurer.
In line with the vision to

“be the worldwide representative voice of the fitness and physical activity sector, working for a physically active, healthier world”

World Active’s leadership is committed to strengthening the dialogue with international bodies such as the World Health Organization.
Let’s work together to get

“more people, more active, more often”!
