18 July 2024
Since its launch last January, Milan Wellness City 2030 has been taking shape and growing, thanks to the dedication and collaboration of numerous stakeholders.

A few days ago, the second meeting of the entire working group took place, attended by Nerio Alessandri, President of the Wellness Foundation, and distinguished representatives from Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, Fondazione Cariplo, Bocconi University, Politecnico di Milano and its foundation, Humanitas University, San Raffaele Hospital, Fondazione Umberto Veronesi ETS, Fondazione Human Technopole, Federalberghi, Assolombarda, Fondazione Milan, and Olimpia Milano.

During the meeting, the key areas that will form the foundation of Milan Wellness City 2030 were outlined:

  • Wellness Economy

  • Lifestyle Medicine

  • Research & Innovation

  • Sport and Wellness Events

  • Corporate Wellness

  • Wellness Lifestyle

  • Education and Training

  • Generation Z and Generation Alpha

  • Wellness Tourism

  • Nutrition

  • Mental Wellness

  • Urban Wellness

Each category represents an essential aspect of well-being and can contribute to improving the quality of life for Milan’s citizens through a holistic and integrated approach.

Initiating concrete actions within these various fields is a decisive step towards becoming a city of wellness, adopting a model that aims to generate not only social impact through the promotion of healthy and sustainable lifestyles but also new development opportunities. This will highlight Milan’s excellences and merge wellness with design, fashion, food, art, tourism, and science into a single grand project of cultural and economic innovation.

Milan Wellness City 2030 is a work in progress:

"The challenge is great, but together we can transform Milan into a global leader in wellness and quality of life" Nerio Alessandri
