PRIME Center
The PRIME Centre of the Istituto Oncologico Romagnolo, a unique facility in Italy, combines Prevention, Rehabilitation and Integrative Medicine to improve the quality of life during the oncological treatment pathway. The centre hosts a didactic kitchen for workshops dedicated to healthy eating and a 148 m2 gymnasium with equipment for the prehabilitation and rehabilitation of cancer patients, a true innovation for the entire regional healthcare system. The goal of the PRIME Centre is to structure new treatment pathways based on physical exercise as a tool for prevention and support of cancer therapy.
The project, led by the Istituto Romagnolo per lo Studio dei Tumori, will improve each patient’s quality of life and enable innovative scientific studies.
